All eyes on 90L in the Caribbean

After a brief break from the tropics we are now watching Invest 90L very closely in the Caribbean.In October, this area of the atlantic is where we typically watch for tropical cyclone development. This year that area of the Caribbean has been virtually untouched by tropical systems and therefore has a lot of energy for the system to work with.

Current SST( sea surface temperatures) in the Gulf and Caribbean.

As you can see, the highest SST's are in the western Caribbean where 90L is currently located.

The latest run of the Euro EPS has many members making landfall as a strong Tropical Storm or minimal hurricane on the Southeast coast in 5-6 days.(picture below)

For now, folks in the Yucatan peninsula and the Southeast United States should closely monitor and stay tuned to USWC for the latest.
