Update on Hurricane Jose

The Current National Hurricane Center forecast cone for Hurricane Jose.

The NHC(National Hurricane Center) is still forecasting Jose to pass SE of Nantucket and bring Tropical Storm conditions to the Southern New England coast. Winds will be more of an issue because of fully- leaved trees which makes them more vulnerable to being knocked over in strong winds.

Jose will make his closest pass to SNE Tuesday into Wednesday bringing with it gusty winds, squally weather, tropical downpours, coastal flooding with high tides above normal and even a brief spin up or 2. The NWS is very closely monitoring Jose and will post watches and warnings as necessary and as soon as they are issued USWC will pass them along to you. I will have another blog post up tomorrow on Jose as we begin to hone in on its impacts to SNE. For now, stay tuned to you local forecasts and USWC for the latest on Jose.
